Fire Chief - Bill Wiegman Bill began his fire service career in 1996 as a member of Lower Southampton Fire Department Station 6 in Bucks County achieving the rank of Captain & Training Officer. He joined F.D.M.T. in August of 2007, and for the past two years has served as a Battalion Chief and Training Officer. Bill has acquired numerous certifications including; Fire Fighter I & II, Fire Officer I, HAZMAT Technician, Vehicle and Special Vehicle Rescue Technician, Diver Rescue 1, and Swift Water Technician. He is a 2004 graduate of La Salle University with a Bachelor's Degree is Psychology, and graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2006 with a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology. Bill is a Mental Health Expert on the PA Juvenile Fire Setter Advisory Board, and the Bucks County Fire PAC (Professionals Aiding Children). In his free time Bill enjoys spending time with wife Amanda and son Liam, and his hobbies include ice hockey, golf, reading, and traveling. |

Assistant Chief - Ed Skrzat
Ed Skrzat has been a member of the fire service since 1979, when he joined the Fairmount Fire Company of Lansdale. He has served with the Orange County (CA) Fire Department and was a member of the Colmar Fire Company for over 20 years, serving 11 years as an officer, including Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, and Chief. Over his volunteer career Ed has also held the positions of Safety Officer and Training Officer and received the Lansdale Jaycees Outstanding Young Firefighter Award in 1993. Ed is a charter member of the FDMT and has previously served as Deputy Chief. Ed was recognized as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist in 1996 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. His has worked for over 25 years in the industrial fire protection, environmental, health, and safety field, and he is currently a Field Engineering Group Manager with the Factory Mutual Insurance Company. Ed is a current member of the National Fire Protection Association and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers as a past member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Semiconductor Safety Association, and the National Safety Council. He has lived in Montgomery Township for 22 years with his wife Trish and daughters Crystal and Katie. |

Battalion Chief 18-1 - Bill Goltz Bill began his fire service career in 1978 with the North Penn Fire Company where he worked his way through the ranks to eventually become the Fire Chief and attain his life membership. Bill also served as Emergency Management Coordinator and Fire Marshal for North Wales Borough. Bill first joined F.D.M.T. 9 years ago and says he has enjoyed watching the department grow. Bill currently resides in North Wales with his wife Karen where he enjoys the company of his 5 kids and 4 grandchildren. Bill has been employed by Acme Markets since 1976 and currently holds the position of dairy manager. In his spare time, Bill enjoys hunting and fishing at his vacation home in Potter County, PA. |

Battalion Chief 18-2 - Joe Bennett Joe joined the fire service in 2003 as a member of the Chalfont Fire Company, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. Joining F.D.M.T. in 2005, Joe has held positions as Lieutenant and Captain, and was previously head of the Fire Prevention division. In 2012, Joe will lead the Training division. He holds numerous firefighting certifications and has completed classwork in pursuit of an Associates Degree in Fire Sciences. Joe also has a strong background in emergency medical services. In his free time, Joe enjoys outdoor sports and keeping fit at the gym.

Captain 18 - Frank Colelli Frank started in the Fire Service in 1994 with the Fairmount Engine Co. #2 in Norristown, holding the positions of Lieutenant and Rescue Captain. Frank came to Montgomery Township in 2002 and also serves as Assistant Fire Marshal. He holds certifications in Firefighter I & II, Fire Inspector I ,II Fire Officer I, II Fire Instructor I, II. EMT, Vehicle Rescue Technician and several others. Outside of Montgomery Township Frank serves with the Upper Providence Fire Marshals Office as an Assistant Fire Marshal, and as a member of the Fire and Emergency Services Board. Frank is also an Instructor with the Montgomery County Fire Academy and PA State Fire Academy. |

Captain 18-2 - Vince Zirpoli Vince joined the fire service in 1987 and was a member of Warminster Fire Department for 10 years. Since joining F.D.M.T. in 2005, Vince has held the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain. He holds numerous certifications in the Fire Service including Fire Fighter 1, VRT, and Ship Board Fire Fighting. Vince served his county as a member of the US Navy for 11 years and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family and playing ice hockey.

Captain 18 - John Scheiter John started his fire service career at the age of 16 as a junior firefighter with the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department where he still remains active as a volunteer currently holding the position of Fire Chief. In past years he has held the positions of Asst. Chief, Captain, and Lieutenant in the Colmar Fire Department and spent time as a firefighter for the Red Hill Fire Department in the early 90’s. He also holds numerous fire certifications in FF 1 & 2 Fire Inspector 1 & 2 Fire Investigator, Fire Officer 1 & 2, VRT, Rescue Core, several advanced rescue certifications and several additional certifications pertaining to the fire service. John currently is one of our career Captain/Asst. Fire Marshal’s who is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the part-time firefighters as well as conducting fire inspections in the township. He is also responsible for after hour responses for fire investigations in the township. In his personal time John enjoys spending time with his wife Jill and daughter Allison. |

Lieutenant 18 - Steve Cohen Steve started his career in the fire service in 2002 with Merck and Co.’s fire brigade, and joined F.D.M.T. in 2003, and held the position of Vice President in 2011. He holds certifications in Industrial Fire Brigade, IFSAC Firefighter I, Truck Operations, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Confined Space Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Rapid Intervention Teams, Rope I, and Firefighter Survival. Steve is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, and is also certified as an Army Basic Instructor. His hobbies include working on cars, motorcycle riding, and working on computers. |

Lieutenant 18-1 - Paul Smith Paul joined the fire service in 1991 at the age of sixteen starting out as a junior firefighter with Warrington Township Fire Department, and was a member of Horsham Fire Company for over ten years . As Lt. 18-1, Paul will lead the fire prevention division and the officer development program. He holds multiple certifications including Firefighter I and II and Fire Instructor I. Paul is a full time service tech and vehicle rescue instructor for ESI equipment specializing in vehicle rescue. In his free time, Paul is a full-time dad to his son, P.J.. |

Lieutenant 18-2 - Mike Long Mike joined F.D.M.T. in 2006 as a probationary firefighter and his education includes certifications in Firefighter 1, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Structural Collapse 1 and 2, Trench Rescue, Rope Rescue 1 & 2, and Confined Space Rescue amongst many others. Mike was proud to serve our country as a United States Marine, and he holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice with emphasis on Homeland Security from Montgomery County Community College. He is currently pursuing certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, and a degree in Fire Science.
