6 HURT IN HEAD-ON CRASH

(11/27/09 - Montgomery Township) -  6 people were hurt and transported to area hospitals after two vehicles crashed head-on at the intersection of Horsham Road and Stump Road.

Station 18 firefighters arrived to find the two vehicles locked together in the middle of the intersection with heavy front-end damage.  4 occupants of a Toyota Highlander were able to exit their vehicle and get to the sidewalk while medical personnel from Volunteer Medical Service Corps (Station 345) assessed their condition.

3 other occupants in a Toyota Camry were also hurt, with the driver having to be transported to an ambulance via stretcher.

Firefighters stabilized and secured the power to both vehicles, and spread significant amounts of oil dry to soak up fluids leaking from both vehicles.

F.D.M.T. thanks Station 345 (VMSC), Station 62 (North Penn Fire Company), and Montgomery Township Police for their assistance.
