William
Brightcliffe - Director of Fire Services
After
completing a career just short of 34 years with the Philadelphia
Fire Department in which he served at each rank from Firefighter
through Executive Chief, Bill Brightcliffe was named by the
Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors
as Director of Fire Services in June
2006. Associated with the responsibilities of the Director are
the duties of Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator.
Bill looks forward to the challenge of leading a combination
fire department staffed with both career and volunteer professional
firefighters, with the strong support of Fire Chief Dave Vasconez.
Mr. Brightcliffe is a graduate of Delaware Valley College in nearby Doylestown and
is a member of the International Association of
Fire Chiefs, Volunteer & Combination Officers Section.
Bill and his wife recently relocated to the area and have three
adult sons, one being a new Philadelphia Firefighter, and three
grandchildren.
Frank J.
Colelli - Assistant Fire Marshal / Captain 18-2
Frank has
been in the Fire Service since 1994, when he started his career
at age 16 as a volunteer with the Fairmount Engine Co. #2 in Norristown Pa.
He remains a volunteer at Fairmount, having worked his way up
from Junior Firefighter to Rescue Captain. Frank has
been employed with the Montgomery Township Department of Fire
Services since December 2002, and holds State and National
Certifications in Fire Suppression, Rescue Services, Hazardous
Materials, Fire Investigations, and also is a Certified Fire
Inspector I. Frank currently holds the rank of Captain/Assistant
Fire Marshal with the Montgomery Township Department of Fire
Services.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two
kids. Frank also is active in the Norristown Bocce League, and
enjoys participating in fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness.
John
Scheiter - Assistant Fire Marshal / Captain 18-2
John has
been a firefighter since 1988. His fire service
career began at the age of 16 as a junior firefighter with the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department where he still remains active
as a volunteer currently holding the position of Deputy Chief.
In past years he has held the positions of Asst. Chief, Captain,
and Lieutenant in the Colmar Fire Department, and also spent time
as a firefighter for the Red Hill Fire Department in the early
90’s.
John holds the position of Captain/Asst. Fire Marshal in the
Montgomery Township Department of Fire Services and is responsible for the coordination and supervision of
several
part-time firefighters as well as conducting fire inspections in
the township. He is also responsible for after hour responses
for fire investigations in the township.
