ANOTHER CLOSE CALL...
(3/20/07 - Montgomery
Township)
- It was another
"near miss" in Montgomeryville when fire was reported inside ACS
Image Solutions on Commerce Drive. Station 18 and several
mutual aid companies were called just before 11:00pm after a
security worker reported smoke in the warehouse.
Other
employees inside evacuated the building as Deputy 18 arrived and
located a small fire towards the rear of the building.
Ladder 18's crew knocked down the fire which had originated in a
floor level "Exit" sign and began checking for extension, while
crews from other incoming units assisted with ventilation.
18 Command
returned all units except Station 18 and Squad 62 as a
Montgomery Township Fire Marshal responded to investigate the
scene.
Other units
assisting F.D.M.T. were Station 345, Engine 7-4 and Ladder
7 (Wissahickon) as well as Station 18 and Station 62 Fire
Police.
