LANSDALE DWELLING FIRE
April 8, 2014 - Multiple departments including Montgomery Township are on location of a dwelling fire in Lansdale. Early reports indicate one occupant of the home at 40 East 3rd Street escaped safely after a child noticed the rear porch in flames late this afternoon. More>>>

TRASH TRUCK FIRE
March 4, 2014 - Firefighters responded quickly to a late morning trash truck fire behind the Blue Mountain Recycling facility at 1050 Bethlehem Pike. Units arriving on scene found the contents inside the hopper of the truck well involved and immediately went into service with handlines. The trash truck operator did manage to dump the load of trash and move the truck away from the fire. No injuries were reported.

GAS LEAK FOUND
Monday March 3, 2014 - Firefighters responding to an odor of gas in the Montgomery Hill development found a natural gas leak near the intersection of Kelsey Drive and Ravenwood Place. PECO responded to the scene and one residence was evacuated while the leak was contained and repaired. No injuries were reported.

2014 OFFICERS INTRODUCED TO TOWNSHIP BOARD
February 10, 2014 - F.D.M.T.'s operational and administrative officers for 2014 were introduced to the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors during a recent meeting, and lauded for their efforts during the recent severe winter weather. More>>>

ICE STORM CRIPPLES REGION
February 6, 2014
- Dozens of responders from Montgomery Township and surrounding municipalities were kept running during a mid-week ice storm that knocked out power to thousands of residents. With traffic signals out, F.D.M.T. Fire Police were kept especially busy helping to control traffic at intersections both inside and outside of Montgomery Township. Meanwhile, firefighters responded to dozens of calls for electrical fires on utility poles from downed wires and damaged transformers. Congratulations to all on a job well done!
